We were certainly busy for our last week of school at West! On Monday the “Gym Show” assembly was held at 1:30. We also had our evening performance of the 5th grade “Gym Show” at 5:30 – what a great show, boys and girls! Thank you to Mr. Powers, Mrs. Runnals, Mrs. O'Brien and Ms. Donovan for their help in organizing the show! The Elly Awards (for ED TV) were held at Plymouth North High School at 6:30. This spectacular event captured all of the wonderful news programming our fifth graders have accomplished this year! On Tuesday our Kindergarten teachers attended training at Manomet Elementary. Ms. Learning hosted an “End of Year” slide show in the evening. We celebrated Field Day on Wednesday at West – thank you to our many parent volunteers, to our PTA for their help and support, and to the West staff for making this event a huge success – Mr. Powers did a great job of organizing the day (and what a beautiful day it was)! On Thursday evening we will celebrate our “5th Grade Farewell” at 6:30. On Friday afternoon we are having an assembly for all third, fourth and fifth graders - the coast guard is visiting us to present and discuss water and boating safety. We look forward to having our last “Westie Awards” assembly of the school year on Monday, June 20th.
