The first month of school is always so busy for everyone – teachers, paraprofessionals, students, parents – and even the principal!
Thank you to the West family for working so hard this month.
I have been meeting with many West teachers to discuss their professional goals. Thank you for your hard work, West teachers. Our tutors from Plymouth South High School continue to visit us on Mondays and Wednesday mornings from 9:15 – 10:45. We had
professional development on Wednesday afternoon , hosting first and second grade teachers from across the district at West for literacy PD!
I enjoyed having lunch with Mrs. Fitzgerald’s class on Thursday at 12:45 – thank you for hosting boys and girls. I also want to thank Mr. Young and Ms. Learning for their hard work in organizing our first Westie Awards assembly for Friday morning – what a treat for
everyone! Congratulations to all of our Westie winners for September! I would also like to thank our Teachers 21 Committee for their hard work in organizing our Bulletin Board and for contributing to positive school culture at West. We had a bus evacuation drill on
Thursday morning – remember boys and girls that safety is always a priority at West school, and that includes your daily bus rides to and from West.
I would like to thank Mrs. Westcott and Mrs. Rothberg for taking good care of George this past week. He certainly was busy at West School, with hands in every cookie jar! For this week, I would like to congratulate the fourth grade teachers – Mrs. Morrison, Ms. Grattan, and Ms. Keeley for their hard work in hosting our curriculum night at West on Tuesday! I appreciate their willingness to go “above and beyond” to educate our West parents and families about the exciting world of fourth grade learning. Thank you fourth grade!
Happy Friday and see you soon at West Elementary!
