We’ve had a great week here at West. I enjoyed reading to Ms. Donovan’s class on Monday, Mrs. Walsh’s classes and Mrs. Routhier’s class on Tuesday, and to Mrs. Cormier’s class on Friday! I had a great lunch with Ms. Reid’s boys and girls on Thursday morning – this is always a treat for me! And, we all know, tonight is Halloween. Boys and girls, please remember to be safe this evening when you’re trick or treating: wear reflective clothing, never eat any candy or fruit before Mom or Dad have a chance to inspect the item, always walk (don’t run), and always be under the supervision of an adult. We also are celebrating our monthly "Westie Awards" on Friday – for November and December, we are focusing on how to be RESPONSIBLE at West Elementary (we focused on how to be RESPECTFUL during the months of September and October). Congratulations to our Westie winners for October!
I would like to thank Mr. Trepanier, Mr. Crawford, and Mr. Dube for taking good care of George this past week. Our West custodians keep us all clean and safe - thank you for all that you do!
Please be on the look out for the November edition of "The West Way." This will be sent home with students in their back packs, and also posted on the West Elementary website.
Please also be on the look out for your individual "Blue Ribbon" letter, which has your family access code to participate in the Blue Ribbon survey. We are also inviting parents to come join us at the West IMC from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on November 10th - you will have the opportunity to use our computers to complete your survey. Babysitting services and refreshments will be provided.
Lastly, we are also sending home our MCAS results in a letter to parents, explaining how West Elementary performed as a school in Plymouth and in Massachusetts. Lots of information coming your way this week!
Thank you - see you soon at West!
Mr. Williams
